Could you please consider including or developing custom file types, UTI for file extensions, and proper metadata to organize Vensim files on macOS more efficiently?

It's frustrating to organize the Vensim files, and, for example, it doesn't make sense to find the Vensim Optimization Control file under the Music category. Finding a specific file type is extremely challenging when a project gets larger.

There is little we can do if VOC is also used by Creative Labs.
Try using the project explorer, there is a filter at the bottom where you can list files of a certain type.

Re: macOS Vensim files types
Thanks for your response. Did you have a chance to go through the link I shared?
I am not a programmer or a developer, but with my limited knowledge and searching for some solutions, I was able to modify Vensim's info.plist to change the extension kind of the Output file and Vensim Optimization Control file (giving more priority over VLC).
I'd appreciate it if you could include a revised extension setting on your end on Xcode when distributing a new release. Honestly, I'm thinking of our broader community, who can benefit greatly from these incremental improvements facilitating their workflows but possibly don't have time and enough resources to look for solutions.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.

Re: macOS Vensim files types
I just realized that I could’ve renamed the item description in a better way. Once again, thanks in advance for considering this suggestion.
PS. Those "VensimDSS Document" files are set by default. I would've considered them as "Vensim Document" if they don't interfere with other versions.
