Hi everyone, My name is Emmanuel Katto. I am currently working on a Modelica simulation but I'm facing challenges with complex system dynamics. Can anyone share tips on optimizing simulations for better performance?

I'm not sure there are any Modelica experts around here, but it can't hurt to ask. It's hard to give general advice though because tools are so different. For example, I suspect that little to none of the Vensim advice here https://metasd.com/2011/01/optimizing-vensim-models/ would be relevant.

The classic performance problem is the "stiff system" where fast dynamics (hourly electric generation dispatch) live within slow dynamics (40 year plant construction cycle), but it's hard to give general advice about that without understanding the problem setting.
