One can concentrate in system dynamics at the masters level or PhD level at the
State University of New York at Albany. The system dynamics work would be done
within any one of several degrees: Masters of Public Administration (MPA),
Masters of Public Policy (MPP), PhD in public administration, or PhD in
Information Science and Policy.
Faculty at the University at Albany in system dynamics are David Andersen (PhD,
MIT) and George Richardson (PhD, MIT). They work with a group of faculty which
focuses on decision making and policy analysis -- in the doctoral program in
public administration they form the concentration called Decision and Policy
Sciences. Faculty include Jeryl Mumpower (Director of the Center for Policy
Research, PhD-Colorado; negotiation, risk analysis, expert judgment), Thomas
Stewart (Director of research for the Center for Policy Research, PhD-Colorado;
expert judgment, social judgment theory, medical decision making), and John
Rohrbaugh (PhD-Colorado; social judgment theory, group decision support).
