Maybe you could decide on the amount of money needed to produce a specific value, and call that amount "1", as in 100% of the amount needed to produce a specific value.

Capital for Optimization

My thoughts. Tell me if I'm way off on some of my posts because I've been studying SD on my own, and still have lots of questions. The biggest lesson that I've learned is that there is no single right way. Yes, businesses do like to show how values relate to financials. With a library, the primary f...

West Virginia US. Thanks for the info.

I found that MIT is offering a 1 week course periodically "solving complex business problems". That looks like a solution.

Thanks. There are a few 2 day courses in the US.

Can anyone here teach advanced modeling?

I've been looking for a class, and I still only see two choices.

a) 2 days beginner or intermediate

b) Masters degree course

I can travel.

I'm still learning. My thoughts below. Number of useless words etc. does make sense, even though it goes against a recommendation that I read about using positive names. Some positives can be discribed by the absense of a negative. To keep the logic clear, you could say "concise" and then ...

the math of delays

What's the easiest math way to show a delay? I'm still learning some basics. I saw simply dividing by, say 3...on a quality/perceived quality model...and it gave a line that slowly approached making perceived and actual quality meet. But the math doesn't work....like 3 days later it isn't the number...

Hey, thanks much for that. The multiple ways of addressing the same problem was very insightful. I'm studying the books pretty hard, and stalling on basic questions. Thanks again.

training

I've been looking for a two week course in the US...but I can only find workshops or entire degrees. Does anyone know of where I can find more extensive training in the US? (on systems dynamics, facilitation and modeling etc.)

very basic orientation questions

Am I allowed to post questions about iThink here? I've been working with it about 1 month, and I'm still a little stalled on a few basic very simple questions. 1. What is the best way to represent a stock capacity (as in "holds 3 gallons and more won't fit"?) An "if (<= 20) then X els...
