How to speed up a large model
I have a model that uses subscripts. Some variables have 3 or 4 dimensions, and that seems fine in the test data I've put through. However there are 850,000 subscript elements overall and I only need to plot results from 150 of those elements as the others are for the calculations along the way. Is ...

Saving an Excel file for Vensim to use
I have an Excel file ( actually an xlsx ) that has several tabs and formulae.
To be used by Vensim I save it as an xls BUT also have to copy/paste special each Tab to be Values not Formulae.
Is there a simple way of telling Excel to save the whole worksheet as Values?

User defined functions in .Net, Csharp or Java?
I see that the examples of user defined functions in Vensim are in C. Has anyone got a simple example of one in Csharp or Java as I use .Net and not C or C++. Also is it true that once the DLL is loaded it remains in memory and thereby keeps its private data persistent till the simulation ends? Thanks

Using DLL functions in Vensim
I want to do some things that I plan to write in a set of DLL files. It appears that Vensim can be told about my DLL files, and that when defining an auxiliary or level I can then pick them as I would when using a built in function. Some questions about the practicality of this. 1) Will the DL be fa...

Sable time step v's reporting time
I have a Vensim model with a time step of 5 minutes but I only want Sable to report on it ( calculate? ) at hourly intervals otherwise it runs too slowly.
How do I tell Sable to draw graphs or do animations at an interval greater than a time step?
