Hey Everybody (Probably Bob;))
I have a new problem, i would like to load a file either .doc or .pdf containing a manual upon pressing a button. Is there any possibility to do so?
Best regards
Tobi

Manipulatin String variables via Setval in VEnApps
Hey Everybody, I have a VenApp, where you can save data via .cin files, which may include strings. The problem now is that i would like to reset the string upon loading a file which doesn't have a value for the string included. Unlike the numerical value it doesn't reset the string. I wanted to rese...

Exporting the option "Use european number format"
Hey Everybody I am working with .vpa's to distribute models to clients who only have the Application Runtime. My clients highly prefer the european number format (switch dots and commas), i can easily change this option in Vensim, but how can i change it for my clients aswell. The Application Runtim...

Modify Strings from a VenApp
Hey everybody, I have a small technical task, which i am unable to solve at this point in time and don't even know whether it is possible to manage. I have developed a tool, where users can save and load different runs out of a VenApp surface. I would now like to give the user the possibilty to stor...

difference between command list and opening commands in Vena
Hey Everybody,
I got a new qestion. Where lies the difference if i put a command in the opening commands or in the command list in VenApp? Is it just the calculation order or is there a further difference?

read in values of slide bars in VenApp
Hey everybody, I have a small problem, i am working with a VenApp platform right now and the users of this VenApp tend to use the provided slidebars not by sliding but by entering values, now VenApp seems to ignore this way of putting values unless the slider is being clicked on. Is there some way i...

Thanx a lot, copying the files in advance worked. About the Vensim Application Redistribution Kit: I could not find any pricing information for that. Would it be possible for u to send me some further information (tobias.t.lorenz@daimlerchrysler.com)?

I have another question: I'd like to put a set of .cin files into the package, this works, as far as i see it. But then i want to have them read in on pressing different buttons. The question now is from which path can I load those files in the VenApp code as just the name of the file doesn't work...

Sorry, my mistake, of course i had to reinstall the Application Runtime aswell, but that means that all users who want to view the interface i created have to have Application Runtime 5.5 aswell;(. I heard about a possibility to create standalone .exe files, are any extras needed for this option or ...

Getting a Venapp ready for Application Runtime

Data exchange with Vensim via Java
Hey Everybody, In the DSS section, some classes for accessing VensimModels are provided. I fooled around with them a little bit, but couldn't really get access. Maybe the problem lies in reading the dll. But to make sure, did anybody program such a connection and has a small example file of a connec...

replay should also be possible with the normal vensim structure as long as the run is saved somewhere, which it should be. variable game time should neither be a problem i think as the game is in the architecture we are now running restarted every period. so each player makes his decisions, ends his...
