editing the model in word
Hi, Is there a way in Vensim to have all the equations perfectly edited so that they can be paste easily in Word? For example instead of having something like that pasted (with tags, alineas and unwanted space everywhere): (002) "actual cash-flow margin"= XIDZ(total cash commitments on deb...

Everything is back to normal now (the problem occured only once with winXP (at least for the moment): the first time I opened the file. I do not have any external data. Maybe a problem with win98 (Vensim has not generated the problem anymore with winME since I use the files saved while working with ...

I use PLE Plus 5.4b The exact directory of the file is: C:\My Documents\Work\PHD\Thesis\model\Financial Fragility developed.mdl And there is also: C:\My Documents\Work\PHD\Thesis\model\Financial Fragility developed with MP.mdl I just need to put the files on the desktop and I can open them. If I the...

File that does not open in a specific directory
Hi,
I have a Vensim PLE Plus file that does not open when it is located in the folder C:Model but does open when I put it into another folder.
The error message is that venplep perfomed an illegal operation.
What's wrong?
Thanks

Thanks. It is a theoretical model for my thesis (will be developed during post doc). I would like to have the pro version...but I am a student and it is way too expensive. Hey! Vensim Guys! What about a student version...Come on!!! Anyway, I can work out the complexity (the model is actually very si...

Contrary to you I think that SD and economics are totally compatible. The problem is at the level of economists: they usually do not take into account all the stock and flow implications of their model, which is in fact crucial for the dynamic of the model. Godley and Lavoie (see cambridge journal o...

Ok but It is not what I would like to do
Ok but it is not what I would like to do. I know those functions. What I would like to be able to do is to go back to the last value of the ratio that was not zero (or better the max value of the ratio) so that if for example the ratio is 5000 at a moment it does not drop suddenly to 0 or any other ...

Calculating ratio when denominator is zero
Hi, In my model I want to be able to calculate a ratio x/y even when y = 0 (y cannot be negative in the model) . An easy way to do this in PLE Plus is simply to take the previous value of x/y but if y = 0 for two periods in a raw this solution does not work and I am forced to put a value for x/y tha...
