On screen simulation?
For want of a better description, what I am looking for is whether Vensim in any shape or form supports a feature, where the simulation runs sufficiently slowly for the graphs to change / update in front of the viewer. I guess it would probably look like a gaming mode with no input changes and the p...

Unable to find error?
I have been faced with the problem at some point in the past. What happens is that the plumbing is drawn, the variables in, then it comes to equation entry time and problems occur. All the relevant variables for an equation are entered through linking with arrows. The equation is of the type A*B/C. ...

Output Workbench Graph - Scaling?
I was wondering if there was a way to rescale or predefine a scale for output workbench graphs, things like defining a lower and upper boundary of what is displayed, the size of the graph area as opposed to the white background...

Delay Conveyor Question
I have had some trouble with a conveyor delay in a model. I know how to construct one with an inflow, an outflow (where the delay conveyor function nests) and a loss outflow. Here I have three separate outflows with respective delay conveyor functions and no loss outflow, since technically there are...

Subscripts - GET XLS?
I am currently constructing a model, which reads in population data from an external source, as accurately modelling the population would be a lot of unnecessary work. One of the subscripts is Age Group, so when reading data in, I would have around 100 entries for each time period in the simulation,...

Model
Finally I got it to work, I reread your comment Mr. Lauble and remodelled the production is active part. No errors but the results are funny. It can produce both product types at once, which I understand, as I was not able to figure out an inteligent way to define the prerequisites to avoid it, whic...

Model
Restating the question, attached is a working model, which has everything but the part determining that only one batch may be produced at once. How do I add that part with two as opposed to one subscript, as in the user's guide?

Model
I did not put in any units, it's true, I thought of dealing with that later. As for the equation, if it's done according to the Vensim manual and with one subscript only, say only batch, it would still have to have the same structure, as the softeware needs to know prerequisites (of the 5 batches) f...

Model
I just attached the model. I am not quite sure I understand your suggestion. From the sum by product type I would need to see which batches are in there as well. The model now gives me incorrect number of subscripts for pretty much every variable but I simply do not now how to resolve it (I did get ...

Subscript combination
I am not quite sure how to call this problem but it goes something like this. I want to model a supply chain with a pull principle - if there is not enough of a given product somewhere some more needs to be produced. There are two subscripts, one is the product type, the second one is batch, namely ...

I thought what is inside the stock is actually what is on the conveyor. The way it's designed are a stock, an inflow and the outflow. The outflow is a delay conveyor of the inflow, so I assumed the outflow to be the finished items and the stock to be what is on there. Lee, did I understand that corr...

Delay Conveyor
Thanks a lot, that's more or less settled then. One surprising finding though was that if I increase the leakage rate, the amount leaving the conveyor drops but the amount on it actually increases, keeping everything else constant. That strikes me as somewhat counterintuitive. :o [Edited on 10-2-200...

Delay Conveyor
Just a quick simple question: Is it possible, if one is using a delay conveyor function to somehow specify the following: - at time t take out a given amount of material (leak) from a given point in a conveyor. From what I read in the manual, the leakage rate is constant and it occurs all along the ...
