This is correct (it's mentioned in the help system that the min/max etc must be numbers).

Re: Odd occurance of Vensim freezing system with no run name BUT ...

What version of Vensim are you using and on Mac or Windows?

I've just tried this on the latest version and it seems fine.

Re: World 3 Model Download

At the foot of the page, it details where you can find them on your computer. The location of the Models directory varies by platform. Normally the full path for this directory is •c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Vensim\Models (Windows XP), •c:\Users\Public\Vensim\Models (Windows Vista/7/8/10/11...

I don't think it actually matters. During development we used the 32 bit version, but I'm sure 64 bit will work fine too.

Re: Chart with two axes (primary and secondary) consult

Create a custom graph, add two variables and make sure you do not click the "Inherit scale" checkbox for the 2nd variable.

Re: Floating Point Error

You will need to upload the model.

It's either division by zero, or one of your variables is exponentially growing. Impossible to say without seeing the model.

Are you on Mac or Windows?

Take a look at the following page, it details exactly where to find the models on Mac/Windows.

Looking in more detail at this, if you move the variable attached to the flow, it does move to the correct place. The next release will have this fixed.

Re: Help me with Staff model

I'd start by removing "people quitting" and thinking about implementing it in a different way. The equation is too complex for that anyway. As you are directly delaying "People to train" to calculate "People trained", if you do have people quitting, "Training"...

Re: Cumulative flow does not match stock

1. Does your model pass the units test?

2. Have you selected an appropriate time step? https://www.vensim.com/documentation/ref_time_step.html

It's impossible to comment further without the model.

Re: Floating Point Error

You do have units errors in your model.

Start with "base burning rate". That should not be measured in 1/year, I'm pretty certain it will be tonnes/year. Same for "base discovery rate". Correct the units for these, and you'll see where the error is.
