Delay function, Time step

Dear Tom, Request you go through the model. in this model, the time step is 0.25 days cycle time varies between 0.25 days to 0.75 days I used the fixed delay function in production rate variable to create a delay for the processing time of the cycle time. the FGI (Finished goods inventory) is a stoc...

Re: initial value

in this model demand at 0 is 278.684 Fill rate at 0 is 200 backorders at 0 are 0 backorders = INEG ( demand - Fill rate) so I want backorders at 0 is 78.684. actually this appeared at 1 so how can I get this (78.684) at 0 and that should be accumulated for the entire simulation please suggest any so...

initial value

Dear sir, I want to get the backorders are started from the 0 instead of 1 with the accumulation in the given model so that I used simultaneous in the subtype of an auxiliary variable type. but it is memoryless variable. How can I sovle this isuue in vensim. I am very much thankful for your reply sir

Discrete random demand

Dear sir
how can we generate a discrete type of random demand patterns? is there any function to get it that instead of using lookup.

Re: Adding macros to vensim

I am very sorry sir, I am not asking you to fix the model but I want to know whether mentioned issues can we fix in Vensim or not?
if it is possible can you please explain sir

The basic for good modeling is to have no unit errors; If you set model>setings>use strict testing' it will tell you your unit errors. Correct these unit errors and it may help you to find the other error.

Regards.

that's ok sir, but please answer to my another questions

Goto model, settings and change units and check 'use strict testing' and afterwards test unit dimension. you will see 7 unit errors. Correct them and it may reveal your error.

Regards.

Re: Adding macros to vensim

please find the attached files. I Have some questions about the model. is the model is ok? at the initial stage ( 0 months) demand is 300 and shipment is 50 the backorders are showing 0 instead of 250. this 250 has appeared in next month. if I want to get that 250 in the current month in an accumula...

Re: graphs

to represent the different variables, different colours are used. but I want to represent the different variables with different colours and numbers on that like 1, 2, 3 so that it will give more clarity in black and white colours also

Dear Tom How can I use delay function in this model 1) I want to put a trigger at FGI like when FGI reached to 200 Units then the only production has to start until that production don not start. 2) another question regarding Delay function, if i use cycle time as 6 hours, means until 6 hours time F...

Re: warm-up period

The warm-up time is the time that the simulation will run before starting to collect results.

I have gone through the help manual regarding Weibull distribution. I got it. thank you, sir

warm-up period

Respected Tom
in the context of simulation models there will be a warmup period (Time) like this in vensim also is there any warmup time. if it is there how can we use that?

is there any function to follow the Weibull distribution?

I am not able to analyse this graph can any one explain to me
ash color reduced from 20000 to 10000 and became straight and also that appears at 0
