Re: Utilizing Ventana Systems Tools for enhancing data breach protection strategies ?
Using Ventity, one approach would be to define entity types for known vulnerability types (a possible vulnerability framework would be the OSI 7 layer model) with attributes quantifying the various threat vectors, entity types for known threats using the same threat vector attributes as the vulnerab...

Re: What improvements would you like to see in Vensim?
I'd like to see an option in the Comment Editor that allows the text in a comment to be included in the documentation. For example, a check box "Document text" to the right of "No cause' so that when selected the comment text appears at the start of the text for a selected comment whe...

Got it - thanks. Yes please can you send the html foundation for the web interface (more for my benefit than the web developer). Thanks!

Re: impossible to switch back to the old gui a model built with the new guide
Do you have a timeline for retiring Venapps and introducing web publishing? We have a client that needs a flight simulator in Q2 2024 (preferably April vs June) and web would be a much better solution.

Add Drawings to Equations export
Hi, in a future version I'd like to see 'Drawing' as a column in the equations export spreadsheet. Identifying the drawing in addition to the entity makes the documentation more complete. Also, when using the equations spreadsheet to find elements in the model, knowing the drawing would help go dire...

Re: Entity activation time
Thanks Tom, glad the devs figured it out. No need to send a night build, the issue was a result of dumb behaviour so I stopped doing that.

Re: Entity activation time
Thanks Tom. Yes, the problem occurred in my big model with compound keys so I built the example using them in case they were somehow implicated. They weren't

Entity activation time
Hi, I've attached a small example I'm using to help me understand how to use the time column with tidy data to activate model entities. The issue is with entities passing data to another entity type, where the reference is based on a compound key. The original issue was showing up as null reference ...

Time Series Data Runtime Warnings
Hi, attached is my first (unsuccessful) attempt at using time series data in a model. I used the Wilshire5000 sample for guidance, but clearly I missed something. I'm sure the runtime warning messages have the info I need to sort this out but don't understand what they're telling me. I'd greatly app...
