I see. Sorry about the confusion. I quickly checked, and it seems this happens everywhere. However, all the modern interfaces only include ‘.’ and ‘_’ in the double-click selection. Even Vensim on macOS follows the same rule.

Here are the screenshots of Vensim and Windows Notepad when double-clicking the same string. Did you have something else in mind?

On Windows, could you please change the double-click selection behavior to select only text-related characters and not the adjacent mathematical symbols like +, *, /, [], ()?

When there are issues with the subscripts defined in the Vensim Optimization Control (.voc) file, Vensim reports 'ERROR: Problems encountered in the simulation.' when running the optimizer. It would be helpful if more targeted information is provided when this error is shown.

The DLL folder and its content is in C:\Users\Public\Vensim\DLL and the vendll64.dll is in system32 folder. I've checked multiple times and I am sure I've installed the correct version of VenPy (the one pointing to vendll64.dll) and verified the installation.

I don't mind waiting if it is in the order of a few days. But sometimes, Vensim returns 3221226505 instead of 0 and that's why I was suspicious of the file size. So I guess it might have been successfully completed in the first place.

I just want to remind you about this unusual behavior where a new window pops up when I open a model by double-clicking it.

Just to share my experience: I use a virtual machine on macOS. For such tasks, I Print to PDF on Windows and use the output on macOs. I import the PDF in MS Powerpoint or even MS Word as image and crop the extra parts. But l'm not sure about the advantages of one method over the other.

Unlike Windows, Dark Mode is automatically enabled on macOS after sunset, depending on the time zone. For that, I feel it's too much work to enable dark mode sketch manually in the evening and turn it off again the next morning.

About the Dark mode sketch, I'm being lazy . I wish it were enabled automatically. But I understand that not everyone wants the sketch in dark mode. Microsoft Word on macOS has different options for this.

I'd appreciate considering the feedback.
