Feature request: Save identical graphs for list of datasets
It would be amazing if I could once setup a graph (with axis, labels, etc.) and than save (export) it for all available datasets separately.

Feature request: Load and unload multiple Datasets in Control Panel
1) Currently it's only possible to load or unload one Dataset at the time in the Control Panel. It would be great if you could select multiple and load and unload them with a single click. 2) It would be nice if you could also select multiple datasets to load from the file explorer and/or load all d...

Feature request: Save graph as SVG
Currently it's only possible to save a graph as an PNG image. It would be great if it could also be exported as an SVG image, for including in high-quality reports and printing.

Vensim 9.2.1 and 9.2.2 release notes
Are release notes for Vensim 9.2.1 and 9.2.2 anywhere available? I would like to check which bugs are fixed.
Maybe a list of "known issues" can also be made available somewhere in the documentation.

Re: GET DIRECT LOOKUPS with subscript
Thanks for getting back to me Tom. It looks for me on the surface like a relatively simple parsing issue, is it more complex than that?

Re: summing subscripts of a LOOKUP variable
I missed that I needed to input TIME into the lookup to get a single (range) of variables. Now that I fixed that, I also got the sum working.
cortneyg, if you are still looking how to do that, here's an example model.

Vensim 9.1.1. "Check for updates" doesn't suggest updating to 9.2.0
When the Check for updates is executed in Vensim 9.1.1 it doesn't suggest updating to 9.2.0. This is confusing and lets the user think it's running the latest version.

Re: summing subscripts of a LOOKUP variable
... Hi, I have the same problem, I would like summing some subranges of subscripts. Could you share an sample model? To first try to get something simpler working, I tried just dividing the population lookup values by some constant. Then, I get an "is a special type and cannot be used as a nor...

Copying model variables to other model results in images (new sketch layout)
When I try to copy variables from one model to an other, this results in the variables being pasted as images instead of the variables with their equations. I'm using the new sketch layout. I tried following the Copying and Pasting documentation, but it seems outdated for the new sketch layout, sinc...

That indeed also works, it's just nice to reduce the clutter (by default).

Improvement: Optionally don't save .2mdl files
We're using Git for version control with our team. The current settings help a lot to make the text readable.
On every save a .mdl2 file is also saved however, and has to be manually disabled to not commit to Git. Could there be an option not to save such backup files?

Bug with verbose saving of GET DIRECT LOOKUPS
When I correct that to age group : GET DIRECT SUBSCRIPT( 'data/population_data.csv', ',', 'A2', 'A21', '') ~ People ~ | It works in 9.2. Thanks a lot, I adjusted the .mdl file manually, and that fixes the issue! I think I also found the cause. We use the Verbose Equation-format to have readable dif...

Re: What improvements would you like to see in Vensim?
This is probably a huge feature, but some kind of input parameter fitting from a validation set would be extremely interesting to have in Vensim. This way, you can for example have validation data for (output) variables A, B and C, that can be used to estimate (input) variables X, Y and Z. It could ...

Re: GET DIRECT LOOKUPS with subscript
2b works fine for me, after fixing the same issues. I'm currently running 9.2 though. Thanks for testing! Can you test if the population-submodel.mdl in the ZIP below works on your system with both Vensim 9.1.1 and 9.2? It now also crashes on opening on both a Windows and a macOS system, both using...

Re: GET DIRECT LOOKUPS with subscript
What errors did you get when trying to load the data? It just did a hard crash when I tried to open the 2b model. No idea why. Is there some way to get debug output? The example models in the Help system should work in exactly the same way if you change XLS to DIRECT and resave the xlsx as csv. A g...

Re: GET DIRECT LOOKUPS with subscript
I managed to fix it and use a GET DIRECT LOOKUPS with a subscript!
Could maybe an example model be added to the GET DIRECT LOOKUPS documentation? Since I believe it's non-trivial since you also have to define the subscript range with GET DIRECT SUBSCRIPT.
Fixed model:

Loading Data as a Model not available in Open Model menu
I tried to follow the Loading Data as a Model documentation to open data without having an existing model. When I go to File > Open Model, there isn't a Datasets (Runs) option for file types or anything else with which I can open my .vdfx dataset. Vensim 9.1.1, Windows x64. Screenshot and .vdfx data...

GET DIRECT LOOKUPS with subscript
I want to use subscripted lookup and tried using GET DIRECT LOOKUPS , but didn't manage to get it to work. Basically I have a table in a CSV with years (time) on the horizontal axis and different age groups (which I want subscripted) on the Y-axis. I load in subscript values into a variable age_grou...

Embed text in SVG
Currently text labels in exported SVGs are displayed too large in many applications, like Chrome and MS Office applications. I think the problem text (or the font?) is not embedded in the SVG. An sample is provided below. Vensim 9.1.1, Windows x64. https://svgshare.com/i/eD7.svg https://svgshare.com...

Re: What improvements would you like to see in Vensim?
To give some context, we're using Vensim at the Delft University of Technology. In a conceptual stage, we also use it to create conceptual models like CLDs and stock-flow diagrams. It's often preferred to modify those diagrams using other software before including in a report or documentation. A big...
