consecutive operartions
Hi there! In PLE+ is there any way to catch consecutive operations? i.e., cost = 60,000 and I have IF THEN ELSE(amount>200, cost, 0), but if amount>200 for more than 1 consecutive units for time, cost should be considered just for 1 time for all that period (consecutive operations) so, is there any ...

Re: save confidence bounds result
the only data that I can export from the sensitivity analysis is the lower bound of 50% confidence, is it not possible I export other data?...
Because if I want to make a comparison of this result with the current results, it doesn't make sense!
any suggestions?

Hi there!
I am using PLE+ and I wanted to know that when we run the sensitivity test is there any way to save the numerical results of confidence bounds?
Thank you

Stock and flow and TIME STEP
Hi there, I faced a question when we have a model with stock and flow and we consider the TIME STEP=0.25, in this case, each time that we have a flow, just one fourth of the flow is going to the stock, so if this stock is considered as our total cost, at the end this total cost is not a kind of unde...

Re: choosing the time step
Just, I faced another important question please, if we choose the TIME STEP= 0.25, each time that we have a flow, one fourth of the flow is going to the stock, so if this stock is considered as total cost, at the end total cost is not a kind of underestimation because it shows one fourth of the cost...

Re: choosing the time step
indeed this link that you mentioned made me ask this question because as it says, the two last rules "usually but not always" will prevent our model behavior to be significantly different... so when our model is a kind of prediction and we are not sure about the result that we expect, how ...

choosing the time step
Hi there!
sorry if this question is basic... I wanted to know if we have a time series of daily data and also we want to have daily simulation, to prevent rounding and integration errors still it would be better to choose the TIME STEP smaller than 1?
Thank you

Re: temporary effect
Thank you for your response, but before using PULS TRAIN, I tried PULS and the problem is that when I use the PULS function, it just considers the first time that rain happens, and not the other times that we have rain, because of this, I used PULS TRAIN, as I explained before, but also it didn't wo...

Hi there I want to have a variable such as rain: (IF THEN ELSE(rain,1,0)) that each time that we have rain it increases the sale 10% but this increase just lasts for 1 month (temporary effect), and data for the rain comes from 2 years monthly, so how can I apply this temporary effect on sale? I trie...

Hi there!
I have a time series of 50 years, and I want to have just one random shock during the entirety of these 50 years, is there any particular function that serves this purpose?
Thanks

Re: Units for Time
for example by using TIME STEP =8, if then else functions don't start working when the condition is met
you're right with Unit for Times = 8, the model doesn't pass the unit check, so maybe it's better I work on TIME STEP as you said...

Re: Units for Time
thank you so much for your reply. I tried that for 3 years data and it doesn't work properly, can it happen because TIME STEP=8 is so big and it leads to an error?... however, when I changed the "Units for Time = every 8 hours" it worked as it was expected to and the problem occurred just ...

Re: Units for Time
thank you so much for your response. in fact, I wanted to change the units for time in order to have a more clear interpretation of graphs, because I'm not sure that if we keep the units for time "hours", it means that we must provide data for 24 consecutive hours every day, or we can expl...

Hi there! I'm using PLE+ and the time series that I'm working with is related to every 8 hours, it means that in the model settings I need to customize the units for time instead of hour, day, week... as every 8 hours, I tried to simply write it in the bar of "units for time" and it worked...
