Re: Multi-input Lookup
Sorry for the slow reply (I'm unwell at the moment). I still just don't understand this at all. Can you try and simplify things please? Let me know what info you have, then what you need to get from it? If you have an array of lookups, it's easy to pick out a specific one which could be the 2nd look...

PS. Vensim has a dark mode sketch if you want to use it (View->Dark mode sketch).

Thank you.

Re: unit conversion
Yes. Create an unchangeable constant called "kg per lb", give it the correct units (kg/lb) and value (0.453592). Then you can use it to convert any kg or lb measurements in your model.

All you should do is save your model. It should not appear once you have saved.

Re: Multi-input Lookup
I'm struggling to follow at what you are doing here. Subscripts are usually used to turn one variable into an array. So you could have a variable called "sales" and this could be subscripted by "region". I've had a go at building something simple that I think might be what you ar...

Re: impossible to switch back to the old gui a model built with the new guide
Do you have a timeline for retiring Venapps and introducing web publishing? We have a client that needs a flight simulator in Q2 2024 (preferably April vs June) and web would be a much better solution. You can already publish to the web via Vensim DSS. This gives you a model that will happily run i...

Re: where is the sim set up from the old GUI in the new one?
I'm currently travelling so don't have a computer in front of me. It's to the left of where you enter the run name. It should also have a tool tip, so hold the mouse over each button until you find it.

It's still there along the top toolbar, but with more functionality now.

Re: Solving for implicit functions before starting time
The FIND ZERO function should do what you need. It can loop a section of model structure to try and numerically solve something. There is an example in the help system on how to use it (I'm travelling otherwise I would have pasted the link for you).

I've never heard of anything like this happening before, and cannot think why it would.

These are too old to be of any use these days. They are for converting models that are over 20 years old.

Re: writing text withe the Venapps tool
Sorry, I do not know what you are asking for help with.
Venapps are not very flexible, all you can really do is add textonly for each line of the paragraph.

Re: Sub-Subscripts?
You can define sub-ranges. For example
EUROPEAN COUNTRIES : ENGLAND, SCOTLAND, WALES, NORTHERN IRELAND, FRANCE
NON EURO COUNTRIES : USA, CANADA
COUNTRIES : EUROPEAN COUNTRIES, NON EURO COUNTRIES
Is this what you need to do?

Re: Percent
You haven't provided much information, so I'll guess.
Assuming you have a value that ranges between 0-1, create a new variable and plot that.
some variable = 0.5
some variable percent = 0.5 * 100

Re: Level initial series
You cannot set the initial population to be a time series, it's an initial value, so a constant. But I think the following will do what you need. population = INTEG(birth-death, initial population) population used before projections start = if then else ( time < 2023, historical pop, population). No...
