We've got to assume a box is some sort of variable, and the norm for a box in a SD is a level. Simple as that. If we assumed it was an auxiliary, someone else would ask why isn't it a level.

The c# example that ships with Vensim has some calls to vensim_get_varattrib. Have you tried that?

First, "eggs in" cannot be chicks*chicks/week (chicks squared per week). That makes no sense. It should be measured in eggs/week. "Parent eggs" should be measured in "eggs". You have the units for time to be "month" but I think you really need "week"...

Have you loaded the external function library?

I'm writing on a phone, but you need to specify the external function lib in an ini file, and then call the loadini venapp command to load it.

The default is to install to program files, with documentation going to /users/public. I would try to get him to install it using these settings.

Is there a problem installing using the defaults?
