Hi. I'm new here and trying to check out Sable and run through the tutorials but I"m stuck at the second step!
As near as I can tell, Vensim 8 no longer publishes VBM files, and the current free 30-day version of Sable
can't accept VBMX files, so there's no way to connect the two.

One work-around if this is correct would be to use Vensim version 7, but I can't see where to get that,
since all the downloads ( at least Free PLE ) are for version 8.

Am I mistaken? Is there a more current version of Sable which accepts VBMX files? Is there a way to get Vensim 8.1
to publish a VBM file? Any other clever work around?

Details: I'm still on free versions of everything, I hope.

I’m on a dell laptop with windows 10 current updates, running
A just downloaded yesterday version of Sable ( Sable Version 5.1.33 ( DEMO) (UNICODE) )
And Vensim PLE for Windows 8.1.2 Double Precision X64 (x64) / Academic use only S/N PL9999

I'll need to update the Sable Demo and Sable Lite. There is not much use for Sable any more, most users go straight to Forio to put their models on the web instead.

Thanks "Administrator" ! I hadn't realized what Forio did, and web-access is all i need so don't update Sable on my account!
I'm off to try out Vensim + Forio!
