Vensim and Visual Basic

Hello,
I am developing a new software and was considering embedding or linking Vensim to my Programm which is written in Visual Basic. Is that Possible? Is it possible to run, operate and change parameters in Vensim models from a VisualBasic interface? Will other people need Vensim to run my Programm?
Is there more detalied information available on how to link the two?

Vensim DSS comes with the Vensim DLL, this can be called from any application that can load a DLL.
