Hello Folks!
My model is composed of sub-models that I then want to combine in a big model where they all interact.
Therefore, I would like to build the models separately first. Validate and configure them, and then later on combine them all.
The problem is though: I am unable to copy and paste a model from one vensim file to another. (Yes, I have read past forum entries. Yes, I have googled it.)
I can only copy/paste within the same file but it wouldn´t paste in a new file. Even if I close the old one and so on...
Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?
Is this maybe not possible in PLP?
Do I have to build the models from scratch again when I want to combine them?
Thanks.

Re: Copy/Paste of Models (PLP)
You can only have one model open at a time in PLE+. So you can do one of two things.
1. Open the model you want to copy from.
2. Select the structure you want to copy.
3. Copy.
4. Open the destination model
5. Paste.
Or you can do it in a text editor. Open both MDL files, you will see the equations. Copy from one into the other. The sketch information needs a little more care, but you can still do it (the sketch info is at the bottom of the MDL file).
