Good day,
I have conducted an open-end survey questionnaire on a given subject. Now my advisor has asked me to analyze the answers (which are now texts) using Vensim. She has shown me examples of diagrams and tables which are interesting (like what are attached here).
My problem: I found the nature of Vensim quantitative rather than qualitative. how can I do what my advisor has asked me? Of course, there is relationships between the items I am studying and the answers and new information from the open end answers of respondents which I can highlight and categorize them.
For example, I can found from the answers that 6 people have pointed to ''lack of knowledge'' in different sentences while I am asking about their firm management. However, I don't know how to enter them to vensim.

Re: qualitative analysis (open end survey questionaire)
You are correct that Vensim is usually quantitative, but you can use it for pure diagramming tasks. Here's a video tutorial:

Another option is to use Kumu.io. I find it slower for making CLDs, but it does have some nice network analysis features.
Turning your survey results into a quantitative model would be cool, but my guess is that it would be beyond the scope of what's intended. Typically verbal descriptions of systems leave out key features.
