Exporting model document

Using the Doc (Document tool) in Vensim you can see all the relevant information (name, equation, units, notes) for any selected variable/parameters in your model.

This model document can then be saved as a .txt file, however, the format in which this data is saved is not easily transferred to excel for a easily accessible "Master List" of model components. There is alot of manual work that goes into re-formatting this model document.

Is there a solution or work-around to help modelers keep track of their model documentation in a neat and organized manner?

You might try SDM/Doc - it does a nice job.
