I have two displays. Currently I'm working with Stella on one and Vensim on the other.
When I open use the table analysis tool in Vensim, the table window open on the Stella display. I move it to the Vensim display and close it, thinking that maybe it will remember. That doesn't work.
I then simply tried the following:
1. Click Table analysis tool button (Table window opens somewhere)
2. Close Table window (cmd-W)
3. wash, rinse, repeat.
The table window opens in random locations. It varies every time. This is very inconsistent behavior.
maoOS 10.15.6
Vensim 8.1.1

Re: BUG: Table windows open in random locations
Are you using the new or old table tool?
Using the new table tool, mine opens in the same place each time (but you are right, if you move it, the location is not remembered). The old table tool should cascade (each subsequent one appears a little to the right and down of the previous one).
Also, is Vensim running on the main screen or extended one?

Re: BUG: Table windows open in random locations
Good question. It is the old Table tool because I like time running down. I would love to use the new table layout with time running down.
Also, with the new table tool, it does open in the same place, but it is same place on the non-Vensim display, which is a bit weird given the focus (both window focus and my head focus) is on Vensim-display.
The old table tool doesn't cascade with two displays, Again, it seems to open randomly across both displays.

I'll be set up tomorrow morning with two displays on my Mac (I'm waiting for the correct cable to be delivered), should be able to get to the bottom of the problem quickly.

Re: BUG: Table windows open in random locations
The next release of Vensim will store the window position for the new table tool. I'm still looking at the position where it first appears.

Re: BUG: Table windows open in random locations
Just double checking: The new table tool can't have time run down, right?
