Did you re-download and try again? The signature looks fine to me.

Yes, (re)downloaded the file -- several times -- and w/ different browsers... same error each time.
... is there another link / install file I can try?

No, that's the only installer (and downloaded many times so far with no issues).

Is your MacOS installation up to date?

Is the date/time on your computer correct?

I am having the same issue with the invalid signature error... I will try to see if I need to update my Mac.

I am also having this issue with the invalid signature error when trying to install VensimPLE. The same happens if I try installing the model reader. My laptop is quite old and cannot be updated anymore (I'm running OSX 10.11.6). Is there any way I can get around this issue? Maybe, are there any older versions of Vensim available? Did any of you above solve this problem?

Your best option is searching Google, this happens often enough that there is lots of information on how to get around it.
