Book citations in System Dynamics

Post by "Brian Dangerfield" »

As Executive Editor of the System Dynamics Review I would like to
request authors of articles, wherein one or more reference citations
to a book now published by a different company is made, to use
the name of the LATEST publisher only.

Pegasus Communications now publish many of the classic texts in
our field (Industrial Dynamics; Study Notes in System Dynamics
etc) and they should be recorded as the current publisher. I have a
list of affected titles but to avoid myself being inundated with
emails can I suggest people go to
www.pegasuscom.com to check.
Follow "Product Gallery" and "Books".

If I dont impose a policy of standardisation, at least for the SD
Review, one ends up with a single book reference which could refer
to maybe up to three or four different publishers. This, I would
suggest, does not endear us to new entrants to the field who may
wish to obtain the text, or to those outside our field who may be
rather bemused as a result.

I will be checking SD Review articles at the proof stage for
compliance with this policy.

With thanks for your help here.

Brian Dangerfield.
