Paul Krugmans "For Richer," (/NY Times/, October 20, 2002)
<http://www.nytimes.com/2002/10/20/magaz ... sition=top>
seems to me a very important and provocative piece that cries out for a
response from the SD community.

Krugman says at one point, "This obviously raises the possibility of a
self-reinforcing process."

But the real challenge is his assertion that, "We cant rerun our own
history and ask what would have happened if the social norms of
middle-class America had continued to limit incomes at the top, and if
government policy had leaned against rising inequality instead of
reinforcing it..."

Although it does not mention Systems Dynamics you may find the Computer
Science section of the Sept./Oct. 2002 issue of the American Scientist to be
of interest. This deals with computer models of the rich get richer whilst
the poor get poorer phenomenon.
