Additional note to discrete vs. continuous

Post by c.athale@DKFZ-heidelberg.de »

Hi,
I liked the comments by Jay Forrester.

I would like to add that, Rainer Bode also implies that a discrete approach
does not allow for understanding the overall dynamics of the system like non-
linearities etc.

As I understand it, this is incorrect. And I come from a background of
biophysical work where there have been numerous approaches investigating just
this kind of behaviour at a global level, emergent from the discrete single
events.

Regards,
Chaitanya
