System Dynamics Mailing List Status

Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year. As many of you have noticed the system dynamics mailing
list has not been working very well recently. To make things better I
have moved the list to a new server. To post messages to the list send
them to

sdmail@listserv.albany.edu

there is no e on the listserv. To subscribe to the list send the text

subscribe sdmail your full name

to listserv@listserv.albany.edu

The email address will be read using the From: header so you don't need
to include that. You will be asked to confirm your subscription.

To unsubscribe send the message

signoff sdmail

again to listserv@listserv.albany.edu


I am still having some problem making the new list behave as desired,
but it should be an improvemnet.

For those of you who have posted messages to the old address I will try
to get those out on this list. Nothing else will be sent from world.std.com.

Hi Everyone,

I have already run into some problems in the way this list is
implemented. The best solution I have come up with is to have it appear
that all messages are coming from system-dynamics@vensim.com - otherwise
every time you post a message you will be bombarded with out of office
replies. This also has the advangate that you can whitelist
system-dynamics@vensim.com so that it is not blocked by your email filters.

Just to clarify if you were subscribed the the old mailing list you are
subscribed to the new one as I transferred everyone across.
