Integration method

Post by rosenm »

Hello!
As I understand, the Euler method is used for the integration. I wonder if more sophisticated methods will be implemented?

At some point, yes, but we haven't had any signals from the user base that it's a priority. What are you looking for?

Although the use of Vensim is not typical for engineering, it is very suitable for simulation of different engineering systems, mainly because of the presence of the very stable RK4auto, without mentioning the convenient modeling environment. It will not be a bad thing to have this capability in Ventity.
Kind regards

OK, thanks for the feedback.

The things we'd probably consider, in descending order of priority, would be:
- RK4auto
- RK2/4 fixed
- An implicit method
An Eigenvector method would be cool, but unfortunately not compatible with action scheduling.
