Molecules

I am not confident of the molecules concept. But want to know about some basic capabilities. Can we create molecules and use them in our models? If yes please suggest the corresponding documentation.

The process for adding molecules into the displayed molecule form is not documented, though if you experiment a bit you can probably figure it out. As far as using them in models this is a copy and paste operation and works from any model. You will still need to adjust names and units of measure.

Be sure to read the .pdf file that installs with the molecules, this has the most important content on the concept of molecules.

It's been a while since I did this, but here's a hint:

Look in your Vensim install directory (usually in C:\Program Files on Windows) for the Molecule directory
Create your new molecule and save it there
Open Molecule.mdl, which is the graphical index to the molecules
Add a new variable to the diagram, with a name indicating your new molecule
Add the name of your molecule file to the comment field, surrounded by #, as in #BrokenCascade.mdl#
