Hi!
I am little confused on basics of using which type of simulation in my model. Say, if it is process supply chain model, which one will be best to use whether discrete or continuous? Is vensim good for Discrete? It may be basic question but I am struggling to come a final decision. Please help!
thanks

Re: Discrete or Continuous Simulation
It really depends on what question about the supply chain you're trying to answer. If it's something very detailed, like how many of a given type of machine to use, a discrete event simulation might be in order. But if it's strategic, like how to combine pricing and marketing with production scheduling, continuous might be appropriate. Hard to say much more than that without knowing the purpose of the model.
