New graphs don't respond to sliders in Synthesim

New graphs I create fail to change when relevant sliders are moved. After moving sliders, the graph will, however, reflect the new values when redo graph is clicked. Also, I have been unable to get new graphs to open when the model is opened when WIP boxes are checked. The model is an unmodifed demo SIR model. I have other older models in which the graphs track the sliders as expected. [Vensim 6.2 on OSX Maverick}. I have tested all the settings i can find. Suggestions needed. . .

Can you upload the model so we can take a look? Nobody else has reported this and it's impossible to help unless we can re-create the error.

One possibility is that your graphs are custom graphs and your synthesim dataset is not loaded first. By default, custom graphs only show the behavior for the first loaded run, which may not be the one you're editing. There's a permanent setting Tools>Options>Settings>Load Datasets in Position:First.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't have any success with Tom's idea. The model is attached. Forgot to mention that the thumbnails respond to the sliders normally but not newly created or displayed graphs. I had the same problem last week with 6.0, so the upgrade to 6.2 didn't change things. Also, I still can't get graphs in the Control Panel to open when the model opens when WiP is checked. (I have been inactive for a while so these problems could be me.)

As stated before, I have another old SIR model in which the sliders change the graphs normally in 6.2 but haven't been able to find any difference in settings that might account for it.

Graphs in separate windows are static (i.e. they don't update as new runs are created).

I think what you're looking for is graphs placed on the screen as Input Output Objects, as in the attached modification of your model.

WIP graphs aren't working for me either - will investigate.

Tom - I was idle too long and forgot about I/O object - which was not used in the SIR Demo - and got confused. Sorry to bother you on that one. The graph window now opens as always so all's well. Thanks to both for your help.... Joe
