We have a shared Vensim model file which multiple colleagues use. Recently, when the model is open it has started prompting to rescale the sketch. The prompt (see attached file) states "The current display scaling is different from the computer the model was last modified on".
Is there a way to prevent this behaviour? Perhaps by disabling this an option on model open, or maybe there are default scaling settings we can ensure all colleagues are using?
Also, can you prevent this prompt from a command script? Usually, we have this set to SPECIAL>NOINTERACTION but still get the prompt.
Many thanks in advance for any assistance,
Dave

Re: Display scaling on model open
There is no way to turn it off at the moment. It appears because you are moving models between the Mac and Windows versions of Vensim (http://www.rfwilmut.clara.net/about/fonts.html).
The next release will fix the NOINTERACTION issue here (we already knew about it).

Re: Display scaling on model open
Many thanks for your advice and swift response. We operate only on windows PCs so a mac wasn't the likely cause but the article got me on the right track thinking re screen resolutions. We have just migrated to windows 8.1 and it seems this behaviour may be triggered if you change the default scaling level for the display.
Under Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Display, you have the option to set the scaling level for smaller (100%), medium or larger. If you use this functionality at something other than the default (e.g. medium) and you select the checkbox "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays", then this will trigger the prompt in Vensim about different display scaling.
So the morale of the story is to ensure all colleagues that are using the model use the default windows scaling settings if at all possible!
Thanks again
Dave

Re: Display scaling on model open
Another strategy is to standardize how the dialog gets answered. If everyone always says "no" to the scaling request, there's no problem. If everyone always says yes, that also works, except that items may drift by a pixel here and there due to roundoff in the scaling process. Mixing is bad.
