Hello,
My model dispatches the whole electricity market hourly. It has an external optimization function that dispatches each hour separately, so hours (time steps) are not connected to each other like optimization models. I want to increase its time resolution to 15 min, which some changes to supply, demand and transmissions constraints have to be implemented. Input are with yearly scale, such as supply and demand and model breakdown them to hourly amount but I want to solve this market for each 15 minutes. Can I ask you how to implement it in the model efficiently?
Best Regards,
Increasing time resolution

Re: Increasing time resolution
Do you simply want to change the time step?

Re: Increasing time resolution
Yes but it should make sence from theorotical perspective as well. My model solves electricty market(dispatching) of european countries with houlry resolution but I want to generat data with more time reslotion(15 minutes). What is differnce between changing simply or other types of implementation?

Re: Increasing time resolution
I really don't understand at all what you are asking.
If your model runs with a time step of 1 hour and you need finer resolution, then changing the time step for something smaller should be sufficient. The time step should be approximately 1/4 of the shortest delay in your model (there is a section in the Vensim help on how to select a suitable time step).
