I'm using Vensim DSS 8.2.1.
When perdorming a sensitivity analysis for a parameter obtained from an Excel file I get the following error :
*******************************************
ERROR: A not found or wrong type must be constant.
A=RANDOM_NORMAL(0.5,1.5,1,0.01).
^.
Line 2 of file TestSensib.vsc.
ERROR: No sensitivity inputs marked in sensitivity file.
**************************************************
When the parameter value is red in the vensim model, sensitivity analysis is running well ...
In old vensim versions, it was easy to perform sensitivity analysis on parameters obtained from Excel files ...
The attached files give an example of the problem : if 'A' variable used in sensitivity analysys : error, if 'A1' variable used : no problem
Thanks for your help

Re: sensitivity errors when using constants from excel files
Click Simulation->Simulation control, navigate to the "Constant changes" tab and tick "Overwrite Get....XLS equations". Now it should work ok.
