Aux with Lookup as Graph

Post by eliotrich »

Hi.
I'm using version 9.3.5 PLE.

I entered a set of points in the graph and returned to the equation editor. the points are displayed in the Look Up dialog. However, they are no longer listed on the graph panel, and are therefore hard to edit.

Model (incomplete) and screen shots attached. Variable in question is "24-hour outside temperature". Can you replicate this?

Thanks.

We know about this and it will be fixed in the next release.

Best option is to create a separate lookup variable, and use that rather than the WITH LOOKUP function (I think we'd like to delete this function completely from Vensim, it's much better to define things properly).

"24-hour outside temperature f" ([(0,-10)-(24,10)],(0,10),(1,10),(3,8),(6,4.52632),(7,0),(11,-5),(13,-5),(15.5837,-1.50877),(18,5),(24,10) )

"24-hour outside temperature" = "24-hour outside temperature f" (time)

I can replicate this. Strangely, it doesn't happen in DSS. Putting it on the list for a fix.

Thanks. I need to get word out to students. We're doing an exercise replicating the models at the end of Thinking in Systems in Vensim.
