Screen display

Post by Ashish_Kumar »

I realise this is a basic question -- I did look in help and search the forum, but I'm probably missing something obvious.

I'm using Vensim DSS 8.0.9.

I need to present a CLD loop by loop, inserting snips into a presentation. I would like to take the final CLD and delete some variables and links, so that I have a set of files showing the loops one by one.

When I delete variables and loops, I want the display to *not* expand to fit the screen, i.e. a loop that occupies the bottom right corner of the view should stay there, leaving white space where I deleted other elements. How do I do this?

Setting the zoom to a fixed level should solve this.

Also, you may want to hide variables rather than deleting them. That way you can do everything in one model, and even one view.

Agree that a Hiding variable is the way to go when doing this.

Is there a still a way, with the new drawing system, to export a view as a vector image that can be edited easily in PPT (for transitions) or another image editor?

Thank you! I realise now it is much easier to just hide elements. Strangely, setting the zoom to a fixed % does not work.
