Modelling the Music Industry

Hello all!
The Music Industry gets a lot of attention these days because the Recording
Industry Association of America (RIAA) is trying to fight the illegal music
copying and peer-to-peer sharing. Some people say that music sharing hurts
the industry and will cost artists and producers jobs; others, including a
number of artists, feel that sharing music is actually a good thing for the
business.
I was wondering: does any of you know of efforts to model this business? It
seems an interesting field for Systems Thinking / Dynamics, and might get a
lot of exposure.
