Dear SD Friends,

I start doing my thesis on Concept Design phase of New Product Development.
This phase is more abstract and "softer" than the other parts. I wonder if
therere some thesis or existing SD models to describe this phase or using
SD tools to analyze it.

And if someone is also interest in the research, please feel free to email
me directly.

Shi Ling,

Sorry for the slow response. You may want to check out a model called
SYSDEV that I developed. It looks at the development of a
hardware/software systems, and gets into issues of planning vs. charging
forward. Its not exactly what you are looking for, but may provide some
inspiration.

The model comes with the free HPS ithink demo which you can download from
the HPS website or order on CD through HPS customer service.
