SUSTAINABILITY INSTITUTE is looking for a half-time analyst to work
with a modeling project on the Midwest corn economy. The ideal
person will be:

- familiar with system dynamics modeling; able to work effectively
with system dynamics modelers (advanced modeling skills appreciated
but not necessary),

- located in or willing to spend significant time in corn production
states and corn processing facilities,

- personable, able to engage in constructive conversation with
elevator operators, pig farmers, commodity traders, and executives of
large processing or export companies. [Contacts within multinational
grain traders (e.g., ConAgra, Cargill or large corn purchasers (e.g.,
Archer Daniels Midland, animal feedlot operations) a plus.]

- self-starting, energetic, articulate, organized,

- able to work with a geographically dispersed "virtual" team.

Employment can begin immediately and will probably extend for two
years. Compensation will be proportional to age, experience, and
skill.
