A tribute to Dana Meadows will be held in Cambridge, MA, at the American
Academy of Arts and Sciences (136 Irving Street) on April 22nd starting at
1:30PM.

In celebration of the life and legacy of Donella "Dana" Meadows,
internationally renowned scholar, writer, educator, systems analyst, organic
farmer, and leader in the global sustainability movement

Dana Meadows was author or co-author of nine books, including the
groundbreaking "Limits to Growth" and "Beyond the Limits." She was an
adjunct professor at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, and director and
founder of the Sustainability Institute in Vermont. Dana applied systems
theory to address the economic, social, and environmental crises facing our
world. For 16 years she wrote a weekly column called "The Global Citizen,"
that commented on world events from a systems perspective and was nominated
for the Pulitzer Prize. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to
society and conservation, Dana had been named a MacArthur Fellow and a Pew
Scholar in Conservation and the Environment.
