Unable to open vmf model in sable

Post by amehmood »

I have downloaded the evaluation copy of sable developer and also SableLite. But with both of these programs I cann't open any vmf model, even Predator_prey.vmf. I get an error "Unable to open.........need published model". Though vmf model is in the Model Files folder that can be opened by double click. I tried different vmf models but same problem.

It seems Sable files may not be properly unzipped or installed. I also tried installing on a couple of different machines but same problem!. Any suggestions.

Thanks,

As of recently, you do need published models (Vensim DSS or Pro). I will check the installation to make sure the sample model is ok.

I've updated the installation, all should be fine now.

Sorry for the problems.

Dear Tony,

Thanks a lot for the quick response.

I am not sure why I cann't save or run http://www.ventanasystems.co.uk/Files/S ... oSetup.EXE

It only dowloads 117 Kb of 13.5 MB. I even tried on a couple of different machines but same problem.

Could you please check the file that you recently uploaded.

Thanks,

Arif

It must be stuck in the cache of your browser. I've tried it on two different machines, two different browsers, no problems.

Try downloading the following, it is the same installation just renamed (so should not be in the cache).

http://www.ventanasystems.co.uk/Files/S ... p_temp.EXE
