Your post provides useful guidance in these stressful times.
Do you think if more people look at these “value propositions”
it will lead them to System Dynamics stock-flow modeling ( from Systems Thinking )
and to “strategic decision-making” from the posted “value propositions” ?
The risk here though could be that such stressful times place too much pressure
on decision-makers such that their tolerance to take the time needed to gain the available
insights here is lacking.

I think the first step to understand what is going on is systems thinking, perhaps systemically and dynamically thinking whould be a better term as it guids to the time that is crucial for analyzing how the events have happenend and what internventions will lead up to.

System Dynamics will -if ST is understood in the first place- have a fair ground to be followed on (happened with me, coming from an economics background by education, five years in production drove me into systems thinking (even though I didn't know about it) and finally has led into a Master of System Dynamics).

This has taken time over 2 years - and probably will take even longer for managers who are fixed much more in current systems!

Hope and work for the best - we all can change the move of time:-)

Cheers,

I heard a word that makes a good case for Dynamic Modeling.

Naive Realism is a term that refers to the belief (conviction) that everything is exactly the way that it appears.

Systems Thinking can bring Naive Realism into question.

I heard someone else say that many policy issues are divided into two main sides.

1. Those who believe that cause and effect are direct
2. Those who believe that cause and effect are systemic
