Data inport from excel graph

Hi,

I am planning to model a machine and have its performance graph which I want to use in the model. Is it possible to import the graph into vensim and based upon the X value can Vensim pick the corresponding Y value and use it in calculations?.

Questions are welcome. I appreciate all your support till now.

Yes. Search the help system for lookup tables, these should do what you want.

Create a variable, select "Lookup" under "Type" in the equation editor

Click on "As Graph" to view

Go to your Excel data and select the x/y data pairs, copy to clipboard

then, back in Vensim, click on "import vals"
