Hi there
The last couple of times I have tried to close down a model, I get an error message that says
"Unable to copy file ...mdl to ...2mdl
File not saved"
Does anyone know what might be causing this?
Cheers
Mik
Unable to save mdl file
One possibility is that something else is locking files on your system. Do you use Groove or Dropbox or some other directory sharing?
One thing that might help is to set a backup directory (Tools>Options>Startup; mine is C:\Program Files\Vensim\backup ). That keeps your model directories free of extraneous files.

If this happens you should first do a Save As to a new file name. Then try to determine why the files are not writeable. It may be because the are located in a protected directory.
It is also best not to use a backup path located in Program Files as you may not be able to find the files because many protected directories are virtualized.
