I know that Peter Warrian (peterwarrian@sympatico.ca) built a
Vensim model on training in a Steel Producing company.
I have a copy of the model, but youd better
contact Peter first to see whether it is what youre
looking for.

I am looking for resources regarding SD work applied to the business issues

this area or able to refer me to resources describing work that has been done
