Hi there,
having a calibration issue. I reached a certain payoff (-4k) but was not able to reach this value a second time despite same calibration settings, boundries and initial parameters. Probably too bumpy payoff surface with plenty of local minima traps (80+ parameters).
Anyhow, I'm playing around with different optimisation settings to get a grasp which one works best for my model. Was wonder, what exactly does "Max Sims:" stand for? in particular in cosntrast to max_iterations. It's not listed in the Vensim Help.
Cheers

Re: What does "Max Sims:" do? (Optimization)
It sets an absolute limit on the number of simulations in an optimization.
