Hi,
Do you know how to convert auto regenerated hidden variable into a defined variable.
Is that possible to work with the hidden variable; such as connecting new variables into the hidden variables?
Thank you.

Re: Auto regenerated hidden variables
Hi,
This is my simple model which half of my defined variables were turned into hidden variables; automatically.
How to turn them back to normal variables.
I try to work with the hidden variables; however failed to connect some new variables into the hidden variables. Is that not possible?
Thank you.

Re: Auto regenerated hidden variables
Do you mean they have turned into shadow variables? There are no hidden ones.
I don't know how you managed to convert them to shadows. Maybe you deleted the view where the variables were originally?

Re: Auto regenerated hidden variables
You can promote a shadow variable to a regular variable with the "Model Variable" tool in Pro/DSS.
That tool doesn't exist in PLE, because each variable has a regular instance that can't be converted to a shadow. However, it may be that there's some way to delete the primary instance in PLE (via multiple views, for example) that isn't prevented. Hard to say without having before/after models.
I'd recommend that you start saving your models with version numbers (model 1.mdl, model 2.mdl, etc.), so that you can revert to an earlier copy if a problem arises. Then we might be able to diagnose the problem by comparing versions.
