Faculty Position at University of Nevada Las Vegas

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/SYSTEMS ANALYSIS
The Department of Environmental Studies at UNLV seeks a full time tenure
track faculty member for fall 1997 to help improve our undergraduate program
and assist with the development of an interdisciplinary graduate program
in Environmental Sciences. In addition to teaching introductory courses,
responsibilities include:
1. teaching one or more of our core courses - Environmental Statistics
and Modeling, Land Use Management;
2. development/organization of co-curricular opportunities for students;
3. undergraduate thesis advisement;
4. participation in a graduate program in Environmental Sciences;
5. establishment of a student centered research and service program that
is responsive to community needs.
We seek someone able to work productively with students, colleagues
and the community toward sustainable solutions to real environmental
problems while involving students actively in professional activities.
A Ph.D. degree demonstrating expertise in systems analysis of complex
human/environmental systems is required. Review will begin immediately
