Maxixmum number of active parameters in Sensitivity Analysis
Maxixmum number of active parameters in Sensitivity Analysis
Hello,
What is the maximum number of active parameters in a Sensitivity Analysis?
I have a model that runs for 40 years and each year the model decides on investments. I would like do a sensitivity analysis on this decision, which makes 40 variables, but when I run it Vensim gives me an empty dataset. What should I do?
Thank you for your help.

Have you specified (and populated) a save list?

Yes, I have 8 variables in my Savelist.

Can you upload all files needed to re-create the problem?

There is no hard limit. 40 variables is small, so the problem must be something else.
How do you know the dataset is empty? What happens if you export the .vdf?

Hello,
Attached you can find the files that I use. I can send you also my model if necessary.
Thank you

Re: Maxixmum number of active parameters in Sensitivity Analysis
We'd need all the files needed to re-create the VDF (so model and any data required for it).

What makes you say the dataset is empty? I've just run the model in sensitivity mode using the files you supplied, I don't have an empty dataset.

Re: Maxixmum number of active parameters in Sensitivity Analysis
When I export vdf file this is what I get (exp_v10).
However, when I have only two active parameters with the same list of variables, I have exp_v9.

This is what I get when I run sensitivity and export the resulting VDF.
What options are you using to export?
