My most valuable system dynamics book is John Stermans textbook:

Business Dynamics: Systems Thinking and Modeling for a Complex World.

But thats a pretty obvious choice.

One of my favorite simulation books that doesnt often get read by sd people is:

Serious Play: How the Worlds Best Companies Simulate to Innovate
by Michael Schrage

Near the end of the book Schrage develops a formula for determining the ROI of
simulations which he calls Mean Time to Payback. He also has a lengthy
explanation of why spreadsheet simulations have been so popular, which is
useful reading for determining what we all need to do to better promote system
dynamics.
